Our project began with the collection of floral waste from the Sri Sairam Institutions Temple. This waste primarily comprised discarded flowers from religious ceremonies, offerings, and daily rituals. Recognizing the environmental impact of such waste accumulation, we took the initiative to channel these flowers away from traditional waste disposal methods.
Upon collection, the floral waste was carefully segregated and prepared for the next phase. To preserve its organic properties, we meticulously dried the collected flowers. This crucial step ensured that the floral waste retained its aromatic potential and other essential properties necessary for agarbatti stick production.
Our team focused on developing an innovative recycling process that efficiently extracted aromatic compounds and essential oils from the dried flowers. By employing state-of-the-art technology, we optimized the extraction to ensure that the resulting agarbatti sticks would carry the essence of the temple's sacred offerings.
With the aromatic extracts at hand, we proceeded to craft agarbatti sticks with precision and care. Each stick was delicately created to preserve the cultural significance and spiritual essence of the temple's floral offerings. The process involved meticulous blending and rolling to ensure a consistent and superior-quality product.
The culmination of our efforts was the return of the freshly crafted agarbatti sticks to the Sri Sairam Institutions Temple. In a heartwarming full-circle approach, we presented these eco-friendly and culturally significant products as a valuable offering back to the temple. This completed the waste management loop, demonstrating the power of recycling and upcycling in creating a sustainable and meaningful impact.
